It is hard for many to accept the idea that they are overweight because they are subconsciously choosing to be fat. Many will make any excuse possible in order to not be at fault. They’ll say that they have a slow metabolism, are big boned, are just born husky, it’s some medication making them fat, their parents were fat, or they just don’t have time to exercise. I know because my friends and I used the same excuses.
I never really cared about my health until my weight was thrown at my face like a ton of bricks. Now, I think I’m pretty good at talking to girls. I can make them laugh, I focus on them, and we have a great time. Somehow though, I would always end up paying for the drinks while they go out with the guy with six pack abs and a total useless personality. You know what I’m talking about, the big jock who has way too many tatoos and drags his knuckles.
Anyways, I started asking everyone I can think of what I can possibly change in order to have more success with girls and so I did. Great advice, right?… I did a lot of web surfing to find the most useful information possible to losing weight and getting six pack abs. On average, most girls like guys with a nice six pack and arms to go with it. So I figured why not go all the way and not just simply lose weight.
I am now here to share with you what kind of diet worked for me. If you want to get rid of stomach fat or just want firm toned abs then CLICK HERE to find out what gave my friends and I rock hard abs.
DO NOT SIMPLY EAT LESS—DUMBEST MOVE EVER
Don’t take this the wrong way. Many of us eat way too much but in order to to get six pack abs we have to continue to digest a certain number of calories on a daily basis in order to maintain proper calorie intake. The littlest number of calories that you can take in is is called your resting metabolic rate (RMR). If you eat less calories than your resting metabolic rate then your body will decrease your RMR in order to adapt to how much you’re eating. The end result, once you start eating a normal amount of food, you will become fatter than you originally were because you have a lower RMR due to muscle loss.
Also, the current popular low carbohydrate or no carbohydrate diet is also guiding you to a fatter you. Generally, low-carb diets are awesome for initial weight loss due to controlled eating and reduced blood sugar and insulin levels as well as water weight loss due to depleted muscle glycogen (not a good thing). However, low-carb diets also cause the elimination of lean muscle and as a result decreases your RMR, which leads to rapid weight gain once you introduce normal eating back.
I don’t know about you but I much rather have the same or a larger RMR because I love eating. So if you understand nothing else you should take home that you should never let your resting metabolic rate get smaller because then you will need to: A. always limit what you eat for life (i.e. never eating a normal meal again) or B. continue increasing your workout time in order to offset the normal sized meal.
GENETICS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT
Many people believe that you need to have a certain type of genetics to have a small waist. — Not True!
One of the biggest myths that people who are overweight need to move beyond. It was difficult for me to overcome because if you look at my family you would see a long history of overweight parents. Because of this history, my friends and I believed that we would never get six pack abs. We thought it was just in our genetics to forever buy extra large or larger shirts.
My revelation finally came when I realized it was the way I live my life, not my hereditary, that plays the biggest role in how thin or big I am. Based on my results and the results of my friends, I believe that anyone can become smaller than they are now and get firm toned abs.
Amazingly, during my research I found that 2 out of every 3 American adults are overweight or obese (currently), but the American people is made of people from around the world (i.e. different genetics). America is can pretty much be considered one of the fattest countries in the world (along with Australia). This is due to nothing other than the lifestyle in America (sedentary and full of processed and fast food), and has nothing to do with genetics.
So at the end, the one thing where family history does in fact lead to obesity is through what their parents teach them. For instance, larger parents are overweight because they are not eating and exercising properly. Obesity is passed along to their children only because the children learn and adopt their poor behaviors.
