Worst argument I heard supporting hr3200 is “we have a moral obligation to do something” I didn’t know the government was suppose to be the moral police. I say a video called “No American Should Have to Choose Between Health Insurance and Getting Drunk“, most people that do not have some sort of insurance don’t have it because they don’t want it not because they can’t afford it.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, the bill hr3200 includes TAX INCREASES and spending cuts… Congressional Budget Office and the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation show that by the year 2019 the effect on deficit spending will be 202 billion dollar year increase to the deficit not including administrative costs, of course we all know that the government isn’t going to keep to those estimates, it will grow tenfold.
Kinda funny, when Bush invaded Iraq I only knew one other person that was openly against it like I was. Communist was probably the nicest name I was called. Bleeding heart liberal and unpatriotic were a couple more. Eventually most everyone else came around but still not enough to put an end to it. Now with this health care plan I’m being lumped into the category of ultra-right conservative because I’m against it.In both cases one of the reasons I was against it is that I don’t want the government stealing more from me. In Texas about 55% of your income goes to taxes(one of the lowest states), California (the highest state) is around 60%. I read these stats many years ago, I’m sure it’s more than that now.To all the people that support the government theft, I’ll gladly let you pay my 55%.
No mention at all of deficit spending that I can find by searching the bill, only limitations on the funds is requiring the states to do what the fed says or no money.Interesting catch-22, the bill does state that there will not be funds for undocumented workers but there are laws the require hospitals to give critical care if needed. Who is going to pay or that? Big hole though is that it says undocumented workers NOT illegal aliens, I’m sure some attys can tear that hole bigger and drive a Mac truck though it.There are references to the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 but we can see how well that worked.On one page of the bill I found over $8 billion allocated for the start up of this program. over 1000 more pages to go.
More government is not the answer,name calling is not the answer. Fair and free competition is. Almost everything that the government becomes involved in becomes a boondoggle. The poor education standards started with federal government involvement, federal government banning alcohol created a larger alcoholic population, in the medical field it already caused skyrocketing cost 1000x more than the rate of inflation.
The government dragged out the depression longer than it would have been without the government trying to fix it. Why is it when the media criticizes a republican president it’s the liberal media and when the same media does it to a democrat it the right media? You cannot tell the 2 parties apart by looking at house votes except for one or 2 issues like this one. They both for the most part vote the same.
