Following Through With Self Improvement

The hardest thing about self-improvement is not lacking parts of your life to improve, but instead finding the strength to follow through with your goal of improving. Self-improvement is something that is best accomplished when you have a friend or family member who will support you. The best thing to do is to tell anyone who will listen about what you are trying to do to improve, so that you have accountability and someone is expecting you to work harder or eat healthier.

Other strategies to follow through have to do with goals you make for yourself. Many people tell you to write goals down on paper, and that is great, but they are not nearly as effective if you are not held accountable for them. You need to post your goals somewhere where you will see them and friends will see them. Or, if you are not comfortable with that, you can give a copy of the goals to someone who will continually ask you how they are coming along. That way, you can have accountability without having to tell the whole world you are trying to lose weight or read more.
