Interviews can be intimidating; it is scary meeting someone who is solely there to judge you. However, if you think of it like you are interviewing the company as well, it’s far less threatening. I love to go to an interview prepared with questions of my own, and I ask them when I feel like I need a break from questioning. I start with easy ones, like how many employees there are, what office hours are like, and what the company does to build camaraderie and promote teamwork among employees.
A friend gave me the great advice to go into an interview with the belief that the company will of course want to hire you, and that you are there to find out if you want the company. Job coaches will tell you about this interview tip as well. That idea helps build your confidence and also challenges you to ask a lot of questions, which will in turn impress your interviewer.
